Model 15-3 with ivories
Shipped in 1970. I had these ivory grips made several years ago and thought they looked pretty good on this revolver.

That is a stunning combination. I've always thought the four inch Model 15 was the best looking Smith & Wesson revolver ever made, and those ivories make it even better. Thanks for posting.

"thought they looked pretty good " Now thats an understatement, no if ands or buts about it. You don't have to be an artist to appreciate the beauty.

Now that I got most of the drool out of my keyboard..WOW..I forgot how pretty a model 15 could be. Was my first duty gun. An awesome example of what Smith revolvers were when their quality was the greatest. Note: quality statement is JMHO of course.

It looks unfired, which somehow seems a shame. Beautiful, though.
Me want.

About twice a year I get a little sick in my belly from seeing something so beautiful I don't think I can take it.
This is three already this year. I'm getting old.

Man thats got to be one of the ugliest guns I've ever seen!!
Sorry, somebody had to say it. I was afraid your head was about to explode.
Some things in life, just by their very nature, are beautiful. THAT is a prime example..............

That is a piece to be proud of, I was just considering a 15 that is sitting at a local shop.... Might have to revisit it this weekend and see if I can make her mine. Then a search for the grips LOL

I don't run Smith and Wesson, but if I did, I would post THAT pic at every inspection station I had in the factory.....everyone that worked there would see THAT gun every day, and know that is what I expected to leave in a box.....
