Airlite Ti 337
Picked one up yesterday. This is the one that started it all. ANIB for about $500. I put 100 rounds thru it (No +P's) and it was fun to shoot. Very accurate. At 11 oz. i just found my new summer carry gun.
Anyone have alot rounds thru one? I am really hoping it is durable enough for me to shoot on a regular basis.

I have about 600 round through mine - a combo of +p and non-+p.
The +p is not fun for long. Love mine for pocket carry. I also bobbed my hammer.
Good luck with yours.

I have one in 3 inch, hardest thing was finding a holster for it.
I fire it often and have no reason to think it won't hold up as well as blue steel or stainless. The story I've heard is that lead bullets "pull" with recoil and will bind the cylinder. I shoot +P's and jacketed rounds in mine.
The finish on these do seem to wear more than the others.

337 Ti
The 3 inch is sweet. I will not shoot +P's in mine. I practice with WWB 130grain fmj or FedAm Eagle, and my carry round is the Fed Hydra Shok 110gr. personal defense. I am just going to shoot it as much as i would any other j frame.

I have a lot of rounds through mine. Eventually the finish will wear more than steel or blue, but it should outlast you even when shot and/or carried regularly. If you're concerned about mechanical wear, pick up a spare cylinder for the future. The previously mentioned warning about lead top rounds is a fact. They will jump crimps at some point, probably lock the cylinder, and the gun will be useless; I could only fix my locked up cylinder with repeated blows from a rubber hammer. Stick with non-lead tops or wad cutters for best results. If you're going to run +Ps, you might consider a Pachmayr Decelerator grip for comfort. Otherwise, any J-frame grip will be satisfactory based on personal preference. You have a great pistol. Enjoy!

I found one, 2in 227ti, lnib for 325, last week, near where i live in colorado, been shooting any 38 ammo i had through it, except non jacketed bullets, fgunny thing is to me, the recoil is about the same as a 642, which weighs 15oz, my 337 wiighs 11.4oz, and is a pleasure to carry in a mika holster, front jean pocket.....so far i am very happy witth the gun.;.gotta say id really like to have a 3in bbl..

I've never seen a hammer like that before. Is that just on the Ti guns?

It's the "body guard" style. I have that style on my 317 snub . My 337 has the regular style.

I swapped out the stock hammer with a model 38 hammer. It really makes a huge difference when it comes to not snagging on clothing.

Cool! I learned something.
I guess i didn't think about a BG hammer on an exposed hammer frame.
I like it.
