Back in '07 or '08 a friend of mine had a S&W revolver with a very long barrel and I'm thinking that he said it was a .461 magnum. My son said that that is what he recalls as well. It had a strap to wrap around the wrist or whatever and was quite heavy. I know they make, or made 460's, but I swear it said .461 either on the shell or the gun. I Googled it but found nothing about a caliber of .461.
Please excuse my dumbness, but I do believe that's what he said it was.
Thanks for any info to settle my kid's and my unsure recollections.

Could it have been a Herters .401 Powermag?

Those were single action and made in Germany for Herters by Herman Weirach (spelling?) if I recall correctly.

I do believe that some of them or someone else did make a revolver with a wrist attachment- I'd put even money it was a Herters.
