I have an AmSec BF7240 (72" tall by 40" wide) and I am pleased with it. It is a heavy sucker, even more so when filled. The BF5924 you are looking at will probably turn out to be too small very quickly if you are anything like most of us. First rule of safe buying is to decide on the largest safe you need, then get the next size bigger.

Mine is fitted with the old timey dial combo rather than the electronic pad. I prefer having to manually dial in my combo. You'll also want to run a Golden Rod to maintain a constant environment inside the safe.

Buy the AMSEC but get a bigger sized one. Those guns reproduce in the safe while your wife is not looking!! This is an important consideration, the quanity of guns listed on the paperwork will never actually fit.

I've had one for quite a few years now with no issues. I agree with the other posters about getting a bigger safe!
