Default 629 Carpenter Corp Commerative

Anyone know a value on these. Its a 629-3 with I think 6" barrel, its lazer ingraved, marked 125 out of 2060, has presentation case, and is wearing combat stocks, slight turn line but appears shot little if at all, 97% at least.. There is a booklet that talks about it being made for the companies 100th aniversery and that they provide smith and wesson with steel.. its at the auction house tonight and need to know what a good buy price is??
Thanks guys
Joe

I have been told that all the obscure commemorative guns are pretty much worth whatever the base model is worth. I have even heard of some of them having detracted values since they are marked up to most buyers. I would think your best bet would be the off hand chance someone either collects from the spirit of what was commemorated or if it is a model with certain desirable features. I would just think your 629-3 is from before the ILS and I think it's also pre-MIM. So that is nice. My best guess would be $700 to $800 depending on condition with box and materials.

I wish it didn't have the engraving.. I like the box, grips, and gun.
