Impulse buy alert: S&W 12-2 airweight
I just picked up a S&W model 12-2 airweight with a nickel finish. It came with the original grips, box, manual, bore brush, unfilled out warranty card, heck it even has advertisements for S&W knives and ammo!
I looks brand spankin' new!!

Congrats on a cool Model 12 !
I also just picked up a Model 12,
Mine is a 4 screw square butt blue no dash from about 1960,
wondering what your dash 2 serial dates to?
The nickel versions are not too common and the RB version seems to be the minority as well.
While the 4" versions pop up occasionally, 5" and 6" were catalog items but I have never seen one.
Although K frames are a bit larger than J frames they do offer 6 rounds of 38 special vs the 5 of the J frame.

Very nice. I think the 2" Model 12 is one of the best carry snubs you can get (presuming good condition, of course). I would love to add one to my collection someday, particularly a shooter grade 12-4.

Great find. I have M12-3, although I do not have the orginal grips. Wish I did, but don't. That is a beautiful nickel M12. Congrats on the find.

Funny how those Airweights won't balance butt down when you use a prop rod...
That's a fine looking Model 12, congratulations on your purchase!

Mind if I ask how much that put you back? I would like to get one but want to see how much a fair price is.
Considering yours is "like new" with everything I would guess $550+ ??

GREAT buy no matter what. A seldom seen old revolver for sure.
I recently snagged a blued 12-1 , 2" RB and I was VERY happy to say the least.

I was just shopping in my Buddy's hardware store/Gun shop for an actual hardware reason and the m12 was just sitting there. He is a Hardware guy that just happens own a gun store. He knows very little about old guns and he didn't know what he had and neither did the woman that sold it.
He bought it for $250 and sold it to me for $350. I told him what it was and he said "As long as I'm in the green I'm happy." He had no problem with the price.
