Default X grip for my 40c

was at the police supply shop and they had the X grips for the M&Ps so I now have one. it feels nice with the 15rd mag.I will have to get to the range and see how the 40c does with the 15rd mag in it.

I have one for my 9c, and I have a .40 FS. A local store nearby is having a "special" day sale on Friday, and I plan on adding a .40c, or maybe a .45c. If I do get the .40c, I'll be getting more X-grips.

A pair of students were using the X-grip in our one-day pistol course a week or so ago. The grip kept slipping down the magazine tube during reloads and hindering them quite a bit. You need rubber cement or some other adhesive to keep the grip on the magazine.

Good call Chuck. Mine are "glued" on.

But I must say, at least the way I handle my M&Pc, there is no point during a reload in which pressure should be applied to the x-grips that would cause them to slip. The heel of the weak hand seats the magazine, so even if the x-grip were to come loose it automatically returns to place. If the x-grip were out of position when drawing the mag, well, that I find a bit disconcerting, but that should not make a difference either, as my focus should be on grasping the mag however it falls in my hand (should be the same way with practice!), and finding the first bullet with the index finger to get it started into the butt. That's the way I do it, its fast, and seems to be foolproof. At least for this fool!

FWIW, if you can live without the M&P logo CTD has x-grips for about $12

How about a photo of x-grips so we know what you are talking about.
What are the advantages? Can they be used with crimson trace grips?

I have a couple extra capacity mags for my M&P 40c, purchased from jetguns.com and the x grips purchased from Midway- it might have been CDNN--not 100% certain. I just got one x grip--it's so easy to slide off and on to either mag, I did't feel like I needed two. When that extended magazine is properly inserted into the gun, I can't see how the x grip can slip-- the mag's locked up top and the ridge on the magazine bottom prevents any slop movement. On reloading, you've obviously got the magazine out, as you're you're reloading from the top---the x grips at the other end. Perhaps the way you're holding the mag when reloading could be better--I have no issues with sliding on mine.
