I have a 64 just like it...the 57s just outshoot all the other "N"s....

You have any more .41s?

Have a great hunt...

Wouldn't it be great if S&W made quality like that today. If they could duplicate the old ones ,a new 57 like yours would be $2000 to $ 3000 . This one is awesome.I also have a S frame like this and one a little newer that is nickel.Would you believe neither one has been fired.

SUPERMAN.....YES...Have one more S237xxx....FIRST YEAR PRODUCTION...UNFIRED....IN THE CASE....TOOOOOOOO PRETTY TO SHOOT.....

YUP...THE 57'S SHOOT LIKE A HOUSE A FIRE....Main reason is when the 41 Magnum cartridge was designed, everybody had ONE set of specs. to build their weapons....no variation in bbl or groove diameter...no variation in cylinder throats..etc....holds true to this day....I have taken 3 black bear with my Ruger Blackhawk 6 1/2" 41 Mag...ranges from 35 to 80yds with the aforementioned load..biggest was about 260lbs....last year's bear was a quartering shot from the rear..bullet hit in front of left rear leg...complete penetration and broke the right shoulder joint...bullet exited and kept going....2" hole completely thru that bear....

I like your 57 with those grips a lot! I just have a thing for rich, blued guns. Nothing looks nicer.......
