I am pretty new here but at 70 years, not a spring chicken.
For more years than most of you are old I have heard the phrases--hardly shot/don't look like it has been shot/LNIB/boar is bright and shiney.
Now I will admit to not being a collector so these thoughts might raise the hair on your head.
I really don't care if a gun has had a thousand rounds down range---doesn't scare me at all. As a matter of fact it sometimes disturbes me and I wonder what could be wrong with the weapon.
Even if I collected--I don't think I would shy from a 30/40 year old gun that has been shot a lot.
I look for condition and mechanical soundness.
As a matter of fact when I buy semi-auto's I don't look for pristine---I buy shooters. I don't mind having one blued or HC'd.
I replace parts for better parts all the time.
I have not been back into rollers for very long now but I do the same thing with them.
I am just not with it just looking pretty---I play with mine.
Blessings
