pre 29 Question
Did all the 5 screw pre 29's have the serial numbers stamped on the rear face of the cylinder. And inside the ejector rod shroud?Mike

Yes, except for a small group of 5-screw 44 Magnums that were made in mid-1957. These revolvers are serial numbered in the S171000 to S175000 range and are stamped like their 4-screw counterparts made in the same timeframe.
