Grips for a model 18
I have an 18-4 with large wood "combat" type grips. My hands are small to medium sized and the grips are a little bit too big and thick to be comfortable. Please let me know what you have on your model 18 and pics would be great if you have them. Thanks.

Sorry,no pics, but mine is wearing a set of Spegel extended boot grips, and I think that you would find them to be perfect.

Hogue hardwood MonoGrip on almost all my S&Ws. My 18 is 3rd down left.
The Pachmayr Gripper Pro w/open backstrap (shown on my K-38) is about the same , but much more afforable.

If you don`t like the large target grips you might try a combat grip or even the original Magna grips. On a .22 or .38 the Magnas are comfortable.
Below are pics of an 18-2 with magna grips and a 617 with S&W wood combat grips.

I don't have big hands and Magnas and a Tyler T (or other grip adapter) work well for me. It also allows you to keep the classic look of the revolver.

I have open-backstrap Pachmayrs on all my shooter K-frames. I've never found anything that fits me better. Sometimes ugly is the way to go.
