Hello everyone. This is my first post here although I have really enjoyed this forum for awhile now. I wanted to show off my 65-2 that I got from my father-in-law a few weeks ago. He obtained it during the late 80's and it was his carry gun as an enviromental officer until his retirement in the mid 90's. It was a police trade-in and is stamped EHPD on the left side. I think it may be from around 77-78. The serial number is 1D38xxx. If someone can verify the date, I would appreciate it! I polished it up and added a new set of walnut Smith/Wesson combat grips. It is a real shooter ! I am not that great but, i have stacked a few bullseyes with it which i have not done with any other gun. I dont think it was fired much. The barrel looks like new and there is no evidence of wear on the action as far as I can tell. I will say that it has a very light single action trigger pull. I need to have it measured but, I would guess around 2 lbs. The DA feels nice and may be around 8-9 lbs. This gun has really made a K-frame fan out of me. I have always been more of a 1911 guy but this is one sweet gun. Anyway, I thought I would share some pictures of it and say hello. Thanks, Cliff

Cliff,

That is a very nice 65, and the stocks scream "quality", as well!

Thanks guys! FYI, The grips came from gungripsupply.com and I highly recommend them. I got them in 2 days and i think they are the nicest grips i have ever seen and they feel incredible.

Hearsedriver, nice gun, but the grips help make it it fine looking! Those would look great on my 67. ( I always look for grips) Enjoy it! Have 3 K Frames, but no .357's yet. I'll have to work on that! Bob

You have a very nice revolver. Enjoy it.

Revolvers and the 1911 are hard to beat.
