Default Worst Ammo ever CCI SV ?

I have shoot weapons all my life. I have been reading wear S&W uses CCI standard velocity in the S&W model 41 at the factory. Well I have heard nothing but bad things about waxed rounds ( especially Remington). I bought 400 rounds oof the CCI SV Friday. Took it to the range the last two day's. My shots were never consistant, all over the place. Get the Red Dot sighted in then the next thing I know the shots are all over the place again. The wax gums up the weapon and it is a filthy ammo. Just my opinion and observation, but will never buy it again. The last 1000 rounds I just loaded and shot them into the ground to get rid of them. I will buy Federal from now on. Is there a nice Standard Velocity round that some of you can recommend that is not waxed and preferably copper coated?
Thanks for letting me vent, I had to go out of my way to find the CCI and cost me $10.. extra dollars for 150 rounds less than I am used to.

It's your gun that is the problem, it's picky. Just find a brand that works well in your gun. I've used thousands of rounds of CCI SV in my Beretta Target 87 with never a failure to feed, fire or eject. It is dead balls accurate as well. I use that round for my bullseye league. The guy that shoots in the lane next to me has a feeding problem with the wax on that round as well (don't know what gun he shoots, it's not a Beretta) but the round is accurate for him so he washes/wipes off the wax on a few hundred rounds before he comes to shoot. That's more work that I would want to do -- I would just find another round that works in the gun I am using. If the round didn't work in the gun I had I would find another round.
Just my 2cents.

I didn't answer your question about what other brand to use. I'll check to see what some of the other bullseye shooters are using and what gun brands as well. It won't be for about a week to ten days, I'll get back to you.

The sportsmans club I belong to only sells one type of ammo, and most people who aren't using match grade ammo use it. It is ..... CCI standard velocity.

The guy running the pistol league here uses it, and he was on the US Army Marksmanship Team.

Yeah, the wax build-up is a problem for some. Most run a boresnake every 100 rounds (our matches are 90 rounds) and then they use a bent .22 bore brush to clean out the chamber with a squirt of bore cleaner on it. Takes them about 4 minutes as they put away their pistols.

Lots of S&W 41 and various 22xx and 22x models.

Now, I bet they have a very low FTF rate, right?

I say best ammo ever. My guns love it. Dicks sells bricks for $25 which sure beats the online prices.

Tried using Aquila match and Wolf/SK match in my 41, lots of fails to extract etc, cleaning didn't even seem to help. HV bulk packs same thing. Finally went to Dicks and bought 2 bricks(1000), cleaned it and now 1000 rounds later I just opened the 3rd brick and no failures of any kind and it is shooting better than ever accuracywise. When it acts up I will clean it again and oil it.
