Almost a daily event down there. People not from there cannot understand the life style in New Orleans.
It is a bowl shaped area full of liberals that think the government should support them. When the government does not give them what they want, they take it at gun point. Drug dealers are on the rise and keep trying to kill off the competition. Most of the murders in the state take place in New Orleans.

I'm trying to imagine what it must be like to be a LEO in this community. They investigate homicides like most officers investigate mv accidents. I remember speaking to a retired detective from a large city pd. He stated his biggest problem was testifying at trial and keeping the facts on one case from contaminating another. There were simply so many shootings, and they were so similar, it was hard to keep them in order.

It's below sea level too, which never made much sense to me. Nothing about N'orleans does. Maybe it's the barometric pressure??

New Orleans is the only city where you can report a murder and order the murder on the same police form. It also is the only city (that I know of) that effectively has the FBI for its internal affairs department. I am sure there are skilled, dedicated personnel on the NOPD, and my prayers go out to them both, but NOPD is mostly a publicly funded gang with uniforms. I am allowed to say that as a former resident of the Crescent City. I like the city, but its police department works hard to be the worst in the nation.

Seems every time that a big bash is going on you a bunch of fools who think with their finger instead of their brain. They have one school down here where two or three kids have been targeted by drive by shootings.Frank

I just want to state for the record that I was NOT in New Orleans Halloween night and I have witnesses to prove it.

I lived in N.O. back in the 1980's. Fun but VERY violent place to live.
