Default Problem with 22A magazines intermittently loose

Hi,

I thought I'd go straight to this forum to ask. I've bought this S&W 22A on March this year.

I have three magazines for it.

Every so often on a regular basis, after I shoot, the magazine loosens up. It happens with any magazine and with any shot in the magazine. The first few times, I thought I just didn't put the magazine in hard enough to catch but I've been checking each time I load a magazine by tugging at the base.

I'm hoping somebody here can tell me how to fix this problem. Thank you for your time.

Is it possible that the way you hold it might be pushing ever so slightly on the release button on the stock of this gun. I have a 22A myself and have never had any problems with it other then on occasion my hand has accidentially released the mag by accident while sometimes holding it too tight or in the wrong mode. I have witnessed several others do the same while on the range as well.

Thanks for the input. I had thought of that while having the problem. I'll try to isolate for that next time and not have my finger around that release button.
