I'm a new member who is glad to be able to view the resources contained in this forum because I'm climbing the information curve.
So, I'll give all y'all a brief bio of myself:
I've been a Glock owner for several years and reload 9mm, 5.56, shotgun and recently 38 spl.
I aquired a 586 (no dash) and a nice M38 J frame too. I have plans for the 586 and I've already put it to use at 2 IDPA and 1 ICORE matches and enjoy it very much. My plans are to join ICORE beginning 2012 then compete in their local matches as well as IDPA events using the 9.
I took the 586 partially apart, cleaned & lubed also replaced the hammer and trigger springs with Wolf reduced power versions. That's all.
Now, I've fired a few revolvers a friend owned including one 686 with extensive mods that was an impressive competition gun but, that's not what I'm looking to achieve.
I want my 586 to be smooth and very reliable but still retain the ability to fire hard primers, so I could still fire 357's, if I so choose. It's currently being fed hand loaded 158 gr lead bullets pushed by TiteGroup powder @ ~800 fps in 38 spl. cases. This works very nicely!
I am anticipating reading the many threads here!
