Default Sigma SW9VE Dropping Mag When Firing!

i have a sigma that is about 6 years old i bet i only have at most 1200 rounds through it. took it to the range and loaded with wallyworld winchester FMJ ammo and it would load and lock but when began shooting the magazine would fall to the ground? tried two different mags both did the same thing. if any one knows of this problem and fixes please let me know, if not could someone reccomend a good S&W auto gunsmith in south east Michigan. thanks for any and all replys. BLP

It may seem obvious, but double-check your thumb position when firing. It is possible for your thumb to sneak downward and put pressure on the release button.

Assuming no errant digit is pressing the release, I'd suspect a spring problem, and probably contact S&W to get it looked at and repaired.

Maybe there is some crud behind the spring that keeps it partially depressed. The back side of the mag release should be flush.
Like he said, take care to keep that thumb away from the release.
