All of my recent S&W's have had the Marcas Registradas...I've been purchasing them for the past three years or so!

Maybe he meant the actual stamping vs. laser engraving?

This is the third brand new Smith I've bought this year and its the first with 4 lines and stamped. And it's stamped crooked. The others were 2 lines lasered.

It depends on the model. Looking around S&Ws website, many current production guns have the four lines stamped.

Product: Model 60

I'd be more concerned about the fact that it's crooked. How could that possibly pass QC at S&W these days?
