Gun Show 27-2
I went to the big SAR/Crossroads show in Phx yesterday. The main goal was to sell a couple of long guns and bring some cash home. However......I walked down one more row and found this, among a case of new Kimber 1911s. It's a nickle, 3 1/2", 27-2, with original grips. S/N N51xxx. The other grips, pictured by themselves, were on it when I bought it. They should clean up nice. I think I scored twice with this deal. Also I managed to bring a few bucks home with me, which made the wife happy...... Overall a good day at the show!

Nice grab Tom. Great lookin 27. They just don't make em like that anymore. All that and came home with some bucks too. Don't get any better than that.

Great catch Tom! I was at the same show all for four days and missed that one also. Just goes to show how many you can miss at these huge shows.

Nice snag! That's a gorgeous 27. Doesn't even look like it's got much of a turn line, either.

Thanks for all the compliments. The 27 was kind of dirty when I bought it. Looked like a lot of lead bullets were shot before it went in the sale case. It did clean up pretty well. The nickle has some cloudy areas that may need some polish or something. Can anyone confirm if the bigger grips are cokes or not, from the pic? Thanks.

They may be.Does the checkering go all the way to the bottom of the frame?Looking from the back ,can you see a bulge in the middle of the sides?
