Default New S&W Owner

Hey guys, just wanted to pop in here and say HI and introduce myself.

I just sealed the deal on three Model64 pistols and when I get them in I'll update this thread with some pictures.
The pistols I just ordered will be my first S&W products I own and I think they are a great way to dip my toes in the water.

Now I just have to wait.....
I hate waiting.

Hi, welcome to the forum.

What kind of plans do you have with your 3 M64? Are they all the same barrel lengths?

Enjoy,

Paul

Thanks for the welcome, Paul.
This looks like a good forum and I hope I can contribute to it.

My plans for these revolvers are to give one to my mom, one to my sister, and the last one to my wife(but I'll put plenty of rounds through it too).

My mother had decided she was going to have a hand gun.
She thought a Torus Judge was a good idea; thank all saints she changed her mind about that! My mother is probably going to procrastinate on this matter for too long. So, I decided I am going to give her a Model 64 and tell her to go do her best to wear it out.

She may decide that she is not a fan of revolvers, or decide to buy something with a shorter barrel, maybe she will need a different caliber.

What she will have is a dependable revolver of high quality, chambered in a caliber that is known to be effective and it will actually be in her possession.

My sister is pretty much in the same category.

I think the Model 64s are perfect for this as the ladies may want to go in a different direction after shooting the 64s for a while but at least I got them off the fence and got them going.

In any event; the revolvers are priced right and I cannot pass up a deal like this. S&W 38spl. in a double action revolver sporting a 4" barrel, and they only want $231 shipped to my local FFL? Yes, Sir. I will take a few of those pistols and share them with loved ones.

I have been tinkering with firearms for just a couple years (mostly FAL rifles and SAIGA shotguns) and my wife told me that if the prices stay this low we will need to grab a few more so I can play with CCW projects based on these Model 64s. She suggested something like a 3" barrel, XS Big Dot sights and the rubber grips.

Welcome from Texas DeMilled. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Well, with your desire to properly arm your family, there is only one question.

Will you adopt me and give me a Model 64?

Good deal and well done.
