Default Dating a C Serial Prefix Pre-Model 10

I have the 3rd Edition Catalog and it says the date for C131499 would be somewhere between 1948 and 1951. I know I could get it lettered, but just wanted to ask here first to see if anyone had information to date it to a specific year within that range. Thanks

Probably late 1950. But if this happens to be one of the revolvers that sat in inventory for a while, it might not have shipped until sometime in 1951.

Thank you. I thought that as well, but it was just a hunch.
