recently picked up a VG-EX model 28-2 HP w/6" barrel at my local gun shop. came with Pachmeyer grips. My question- what is the correct style factory original grips that came on this gun?

Most came with Magnas but target grips could be purchased as an option. Either would be okay for a HP.

The above is correct,but the age of the gun would determine whether the magnas should,or should not,have come with diamonds. Rule of thumb says that if the gun was made 1968 or earlier,then diamond magnas would be correct. Same would apply to targets.
