Default S&W model 36 needed info bad

I was needing some info about my new 36 I picked up. Its a snub and pinned. its the serial numbers that have me. no letters just six digits on butt (246905) , frame says MOD-36, Swing arm says 43833 with a 8 under it (maybe), even lower on the swing is the letter H. anybody got something for me on this. I have it up for sale but I feel I might be under pricing it (dont know why just a feelin).
Thanks

The book isn't to clear on J frame model 36's from that era but with a Model number on it I would put it born in 1958 or 1959. Thr other numbers are manufacturing process numbers and inspection stamps.

It's hard to qoute a price without pictures and a condition discription but around here they would go for between $350 and $400 in excellent condition with no box or goodies.

What he said; the serial number is on the bottom of the butt. That number puts you in fyimo's date-range I'm pretty sure.

I paid $289 OTD for mine - but it has some finish issues. Still, it locks up extremely tight and is a fine shooter. So I consider it a good deal. Again, fyimo's price range for a nice one is right on the money around here. There's two 3 inchers at my LGS for $395 right now. One even has a tyler t-grip on it. Oh, and the other has the box, papers and tools for that price. I'd have bought it but, hey - I already have a 36 - just kidding. I passed on it because I'm shopping for a model 60. No more blued J's for me - only SS.
