Default PC 627 finish question.

I hate to start two threads on the same day but i just have to ask yet another question I can't seem to find the answer for.

I have this 627 showing up this week and the more I look at the photos of these the more it looks like a frosted finish of some sort, rather than just a media blast finish. Is there a 'special' finish on these guns? I went to the S&W site and it clearly states SS finish but it just looks different to my eye.

Thanks in advance.
