Default 5906 model question

I have a 5906 (earlier model) with the square trigger guard. In one of my moves over the years, I've lost the barrel to the gun. I'm now trying to purchase a replacement barrel and have run into the question does my gun use the loaded chamber indicator barrel or not.
I've called S&W and the rep didn't seem very confident with his answer. He was "guessing" it did not have the indicator, but I'd rather see if anyone else knew for sure or how to tell.

Looking at the gun I'm not really sure, I know where the indicator is on a 92F but can't be positive.
Thanks!
Ben

Another barrel I'm looking at is a Bar Sto for a 5906/5903. It does not have the LCI, I'm really curious if that will work ... thus IDing if the gun needs an LCI or non-LCI barrel.
Sorry for the noob approach, I've owned many guns just haven't been into it for quite a while.

Midway usa has two barrels for the 5906. One is instock and the other is out of stock. Look at both pics of the barrels and look at the top left of each where the bullet enters. One has more meat there than the other.

Sorry I cant help you any more than that. I'll take some picks of my barrel later this evening.

Thanks jsbethel and Rangerscott. checking out what was posted it looks to me like the part jsbethel posted should fit and would make sense due to the early production of the 3906, and they may have just carried that barrel over to early production of the 5906.
From what I can tell from pics, the LCI is merely a notch in the top of the barrel so you can see the rim of the brass. Unless I'm missing something. A little different than a Beretta, which I used to carry.

Anyone with more info please weigh in.
Thanks!

The main thing to check is the breachface width where the barrel hood slides into. The early guns had a narrow hood (.265") and later ones .375". I have a early barrel if you're interested PM me.

Ok, it seems the 3906 does not work on the 5906. Seems to be a very small clearance issue where the end of the barrel seats into the frame. Ugh.

He bennymonday,
I have read both your threads. You need to find a 5906/5903 barrel. I know that may take some time but you should be able to find one.
Good luck,
