Year is likely 1950 give or take a year. Value depends a lot on the condition and if all parts are original (matching serial numbers on the barrel, cylinder, frame, and grips). A refinish would also hurt the value.

In my area, this might go for $300 to $350 if it is original finish and matching parts.

I left it and Gander M. It was in good to very good condition but no box. All #'s matched. I didn't have my Book with me And didn't want to leave a 5 screw deal.. Gander M may not know what they have in those areas.
I do love the 5 screws but I will wait for a nicer.. close to NIB gun.At leadst with a box. It was over priced at $399. The counter guy told me it was made in '56. I thought not as that was late for a 5 screw as well as the round front sight. Based on SN I put it at '50-52 as well.
