If you own Reg Mag #985 sn-47834 I need to talk to you. This gun was the one advertised on GunsAmerica last week and I believe it is involved in a scam. I had pictures sent to me from the seller. I would like to get the police involved to catch the scammer. If you have any information about this RM please PM me.

When you 1st posted this deal, I checked my RM photo database and noted that I had collected photos of REG 985. They were the same photos that the scammer sent to you! I wish I would have made some notes as to where the photos came from...

I too hope that they catch that scammer...

Richard-I too have looked but have not been able to find where the photos came from. I called the local police in his area,told them what was going on,they told me to start with MY local police and if they wanted the jackson police to follow up they would otherwise they will do NOTHING. This guy was great about sending follow up e-mails until I sent this one.

"Rob, My FFL will not accept a gun shipped from a non dealer. It will have to be shipped from a gun dealer with a FFL. I found a gunsmith about 12 min from your house. Hot Brass Gunsmithing at 508 Condad Ave. I will talk to him today to arrange shipping. I will pay him to pack and ship the gun. The money order will be sent to his shop. He will hand over the money after he sees the gun and verifies it is what you say it is. A third party involved in this transaction is the smart thing to do with a purchase of this amount. Please let me know when you or Jodi will be able to go to his shop with the gun. I can next day the money order once the details are worked out. Thanks, Jim Burrus"

I am sure I will never hear from hin again. I was stringing him along in hopes of getting the authorities involved but it looks like this scam will go un-checked.
