Well, it's not a Smith, either but......
I was at the LGS a couple of weeks ago, picking up the 13-2 that I had on layaway. As I was filling out the paperwork, I was telling my wife that this was going to be the last gun I was going to buy for a while. I couldn't even think of another one I wanted, except for a Ruger 10/22 "International" with a Manlincher stock.
While I waited on the paperwork I went to the men's room. Since I had to walk past the "22 rack" I glanced at it. Nothing interesting...OH...What's that? Naw...can't be...it was.
A 10/22, "International" with a Manlincher stock.
I went back to the counter grinning like a possum in a persimmon tree. My wife said "You have a funny idea of 'a while.'"
You know. They made them in blue with a walnut stock too....ummmmm

Very nice! I've never seen one of those. How long did they make them for?

Smitty, they've made them several times over the years, including one recent run in the last year or so. You'll see them in blue and stainless, with walnut, hardwood, and various color laminate stocks. Wal-Mart has sold a bunch of them.
The only difference is the stock. The barrel/action is just standard 10/22.

I bought a WalMart version, used, a few years ago.
Nice rifle.
My son used it at an Appleseed Shoot last spring.

CB, love the Ruger. I never knew there was such a version. What wood is your stock made from?

That's birch I believe. It's usually just called "hardwood."
