Been holding off on a 1076
Found a 1076 for a bit but it is still available and I dont know how long I can hold off. It has holster wear and comes with 2 9 round magazines but the guy is only asking $425. I have never owned a 10mm. Is it worth the plunge?

The pistols are nice but ammunition is expensive as all get out unless you reload.

That is a good price for a 1076. If you reload, yes. No better time to start. Can still find ammo from various sites.

Is it still easy to find empty 10mm brass? I have been thinking about a 10mm for awhile myself.

If you are looking at the one on Armslist--please buy it soon! Despite a pair of 1066s in the safe, I am still being tempted by that dang 1076. That price seems at least $150 below market. Good luck--the 10 is a brilliant cartridge!

For $425, I say jump. White followers on the mags are preferable but I have a couple of the older yellow ones that work fine. The unanimous opinion above is correct - 10mm is much more affordable for the reloader. Yes you can get new 10mm brass. Large pistol primer, as opposed to small on .40S&W, which is why us old guys prefer reloading 10mm...

Buy it. If it shoots like mine, you will be very happy. I have had the 1006, 1066, and now a 1076. They were all nice guns - accurate, and much more pleasant to shoot than the Delta 10mm.
I am not sure why, maybe nothing more than a matter of general contrariness, but I like the 1076 the best of all of them. The 1006 is a good pistol but just too big and heavy. At least the 1066 and 1076 are a bit smaller, and still very manageable.

At that price, buy it. If you don't like it there is money to be made. Good luck.

That is a great price! If you are expecting 9mm ammo prices then don't buy it. If you don't mind paying more or reloading definitely get it! Best place for brass I have found is direct from StarLine.
IMO, the mid-sized S&W handle 10mm the best of any platform in that size range. My 1066:

For that price I would go for it, like its been said before, ammo is expensive but go out and buy a box and shoot it and then make a decision. If you dont like it then sell it, if you do then keep it.

10mm range ammo can be had for around 20 bucks for 50. I don't think that;s overly expensive

For $425 with two mags, I would buy every one I came across unless it was totally beat up. You can get Prvi ammo for around $18 a box from AIM Surplus every once in a while when in stock.
