Default 629 dot mount

I have a 629 and want to add a Burris fastfire III. Burris has picatinny mount plate. I need a picatinny rail to mount onto the gun, the gun is predrilled for a scope mount.
I can find a weaver gun mount but Burris looks like it takes Picatinny

Where did you find a FastFire III? I didn't think they were out yet.

I very highly recommend one of these mounts:

New S&W Mini STS Mount - Allchin Gun Parts

It mounts the scope as low to the bore as possible and in the same location as the stock iron rear sights. I have used them to mount Leupold DeltaPoints on my 617 and 625.

Here's a pic of the Allchin STS mount on a K38. It would look the same on an N-frame:

Well Burris first expected shipping in March and then April. Looks like May. Good thing deer hunting is still 6 months away. Hopefully they will be shipped soon.
