Default Your Krag

Looking at the photo, your Krag appears to be cut down, is that correct?

I notice the stock appears short and the front sight looks like a 1903 sight.

Can you confirm?

Tom

It is shorter than the standard rifle and it appears to be a 1903 sight but it's not something someone cut down in there workshop.

Default Barrel?

Can you please give more details.....barrel length....does it have the cleaning rod/oiler in the butt stock, etc.

An original rifle had a 30" barrel and the carbines 22"

Many Krag's were cut down for "hunting" rifles after WWI by Bannerman's, etc. and sold cheap to the public.
