Free "Classic-type" K frame grips - Model520Fan wins!
My 1955 M&P 2" round butt came with these grips. They are in new condition and I thought somebody might be able to use them. Below is the seller's picture of the gun and grips. Thanks to Dick Burg, I have a set of original diamond grips for the gun now. Thanks again, Dick.
Please respond by posting in this thread you are interested in being in the drawing. No PMs or emails. The winner and I can exchange mailing addresses via PMs after a winner is picked.
I will have my wife draw the winner in 10 days from today on March 13th. I will post the winner on Wed., March 14th, my 60th birthday
The shipping will also be free via USPS first class mail.

Are those aftermarket stocks or are they S&W factory originals (there's no medallion)? Whichever, they're prettier than the beat up Magnas on one of my K-frames, so please drop my name in the hat.

You know, I thought they were factory but I checked the S&W website and as you noticed, the set I'm giving away doesn't have S&W medallions and the grips on the S&W website certainly do.
I'd have to say they are not factory grips. Thanks for pointing that out
Actually, they fit that 57 year old M&P round butt frame very nicely. I just wanted my gun to be period correct.

My grandaughter doesn't know it yet but she's getting one of my K-frame revolvers for being accepted at six colleges this year. Those grips would look wonderful on it! Win or lose...I appreciate your kindness!

Folks, these grips might be from Altamont, but I am not sure. They look identical to Altamont's K frame round butt rosewood checkered grips except the top of the checkering border is a little different. Altamont shows the grips without medallions but say that S&W medallions can be ordered for an extra $10. Without medallions the grips retail for $38 plus shipping. I just took the grips out so they will be ready to ship and I took a look at them. There is only a large K stamped on the backs, no other markings.
Altamont supplies grips for certain Colt Mod O or 1911 variants. Maybe they supply the S&W Classic grips, too?
