Default Advice with a 19-4

I have come across a a S&W that has never been fired, shot rotated by use of the hammer, nothing! It is a commemorative Oregon State Police model 19-4. I was curious what the value was and how everyone feels about this piece. Im really excited about it and I think I got it for a good price.

Very nice 19-4! Congrats!

I would say that 19-4 in presentation box would bring $650 to $700 locally.

This past Saturday I found a 4 inch 19-5 in presentation box. Unfired since the factory. No turn line. A brand new 19-5. Shop was asking $700 for it.

I traded them a 98% 2.5" 686-4+ with no box or docs - that I was in right. There is nothing as nice as a model 19. I don't know why I bother to buy other pre lock revolvers. Enjoy that model 19! You are going to shoot it, aren't you? Regards 18DAI

I'm very tempted to shoot it! I will either sell it and buy a shooter or I may just break down one of these days and shoot it. Either way I was thrilled to only pay 500 for it.
