I have to talk to him about this picture. It looks almost fake! Like he's in the middle of a Maxfield Parrish painting. But he left Bagram Base in Afghanistan where he works to get some dental work done in Tailand. The dentists charge pennies over there compared to here in the U.S. but he had to put up with the bland unsightly scenery.

He was already worried about that! They were hitting on him in the city he was at. He said they have operations now where they can have their adams apple reduced. But I don't know if he was just pullin' my adam's apple. He's getting into photography and added the vibrancy to this pic ov him on "James Bond Island" which it's called.

I was there twice, Bangkok first and Pattya beach for my 21st Bday 1971 so I wouldn't be taking incoming on the natal anniversary. Terrible place, no fun at all. Thats my story and I'm stickin to it!

I love Thailand! Next to the Philippines, it was my favorite place to stop while on a float.

Pattya and Bangkok make Vegas look like a convent. I spent some time in Thailand in the mid 90s and and don't know how I made it home alive. Don't know if my body could handle that place now. I do remember, when the fleet arrived, the prices went up.

They hold no Quarter

He got some more tats while he was there. I asked him where, on the bottom of his feet! He's been out of the Marines for a few years and now is a private contractor. He's back on base now in Afghanistan. And thanks for the kind words. He never did get that soap message thing he talked about.
