Hello from Nevada
Hi Everyone,
I just joined today and thought I would do a short intro. My husband and I target shoot and currently have a Smith & Wesson Model 19 357 2"nickel and are looking at a few to possibly add. Would appreciate and welcome any comments/information about the S&W 9mm Pro (5") vs the Springfield XDM 9mm (4.5").
We are members at an outdoor target range and enjoy going there often.
Cheri

Welcome Cheri.
As far as the M&P Pro you mentioned.
I have the 9mm flavor also and love it, owned an XD once, have owned ALOT of Glocks, still do, but for me, accuracy, feel and overall performance the M&P shines above the afore mentioned brands. Mind you, good guns all, but I love the Pro, front Fiber sight, black notch rear works like a charm for my older eyes. That front dot glows like the dickens outside.
I use mine in IDPA exclusively now, used to shoot a G17L but the M&P, to me anyway, has a lower bore axis than the XD or Glocks providing less muzzle flip which puts me back on target much faster. M&P fits my hand much better and I am 6ft tall 200lbs, not a small guy.
I assure you, you won’t be disappointed with the M&P, the Pro has some work done to the trigger set by the S&W PC that makes it smoother than the normal line, but it still smoothes over time, alot!
Hope this helps! Happy Shooting!

Welcome from Wisconsin!
My only semi experience in non .22 caliber semi autos is with my 5906 (which I love to shoot) but not as much as my 28-2 and 686 revolvers!
