Default Made the choice M&P or Glock

I own several Smith&Wesson handguns most of which are M&P's I need a little extra cash so tomorrow I am going to the pawn shop with my Glock Gen4 G26 (a subcompact 9mm) and want a loan of about $120.00 which for a gun is simple as well as fast, I have money as well as credit but there are transactions going on that could hurt me or at least embarrass me financially, so since I really do not fire the Glock too much anymore and it sits in the gun safe I am gonna get some cash to tide me over this week!

I am only gonna ask $120 cause it will be easy to pay off with Fridays upcoming check but I do not wish for a possible negative balance, maybe I will just get it out of hock and trade it outright for the M&P.40 full size balance and walk out with another M&P and less my one and only Glock which is just taking up vault space!

Hope it works out for you.

I wish I could find a valid reason for you to keep the G26 Gen4, but I can't. If you don't shoot the gun because you don't enjoy it, sell/trade it for something that you will enjoy.

Personally, I have a G17 & G19 Gen4's. I could never warm up to the G26.

Agreed, but you could have just said Gen4 and I would have agreed.

Does the Gen4 G26 have the same issues as the Gen4 19?

I am not aware of any issues with the 19 , the only issue I have with the 26 is that I do not like the grip, I am now more used to the grip and sights of all my M&P's even though I do like what I call the fiel goal sights of my Glock!

Like I say it stays in a gun vault and I really do not need it, even though it fires reliably I just do not like it as well as my M&P's so I am getting shed of it!

Not as much. The G26 always used a dual captured recoil spring assembly (RSA).

I believe the Gen4 9mm issues were caused by a combination of:
1. Glock trying to use a .40 S&W RSA in a 9mm to cut production costs.

2. Glock engineers monkeying with the ejector angle. They decided to fix something that wasn't broken.

3. Glock engineers monkeying with the extractor. Again, trying to fix something that wasn't broken.
Glock should have just changed the frame to accommodate the interchangeable backstrap system, and left the rest alone. The issues didn't plague every Gen4 9mm, some worked and some just didn't. I got lucky. Both my 17 & 19 worked from day 1.

I have to say that my new M&P 9mm ran 100% perfect today. Great gun.
