A friend brought quite a few “new” guns to a bowling pin shoot this morning. A couple caught my eye, one was a long BuckMark with a fore grip like a rifle. He also had a Colt King Cobra if I remember right, it was a really nice looking gun, looked like it was fresh out of the box too.
The one that surprised me was a 6 ˝” or maybe 6” model 28-2 chambered in 45 Colt. I had never heard of such an animal so I started looking real close. It is pinned and recessed, the barrel is marked 45-1955 with a serial # of N2454XX. It has a wide serrated/grooved trigger and looks like it has never seen a holster. The turn line is very light and I would say very few rounds have been put thru it. I thought it must be a converted 357 but if it is, it is the best I have ever seen, it looked perfect to me.
Could it be from the factory? Any idea of the value? I may be able to have him bring it by the photo studio for pix someday, if so I will post them.
Thanks
