Default Range Report, 1953 vintage Model of 1950

This is the first time I took it out. WOW! This is an incredably accurate .45 ACP. I believe I posted pictures of it earlier.

And my .45 HE from 1932 astounded me with accuracy shooting new ball ammo!
This is a six shot group at 15 paces... that ragged hole is 3 shots.


I've heard that the ammo makes a tremendous difference, but I have no experience with the cartridge in any gun. My brother had a Model 1950, .45 ACP that was terribly inaccurate with his handloaded cast bullets(?)

The S&W 45s were rifled for ball ammo. Nice group.
