Default Stainless Sisters...just eye candy!

My 681, 696, and my 649. Anybody else care to share their stainless revolvers?

Seem to be multiplying these days.
First, the fixed sight guns, my favorites:

Added this one today:

And a few with adjustables:

Up until 4 months ago, I had never owned a stainless revolver. Well, things change.

Stainless are my favorite, too! My collection might not be as robust as some of the beauties I've seen on this sight. But I am still proud of my girls. Here they are in J, K, L & N frames. Apparently I especially like stainless revolvers in .357 Magnum!

Yes Ray it is a no dash. The grips are not marked but I think they are Eagle Boot stags. Purchased them from a member here on the Forum several years ago.

I don't have a group photo of my S&W stainless family, so I'm posting the beauty queen of the bunch a highly polished 66-4.

Kissing Cousins! 4 inch 66 and 686. The 686 is one of my favorite range guns.

This is an old family picture, they have grown since this was taken, hard to get the bunch together at one time anymore. I know I've added a couple of 624's, a 65 and at least one more 686 to the bunch, probably others but I'd have to search for them all.
My first S&W was a 3" RB M65, I bought that one in the Air Force in '81 for the princely sum of $200, I took a Coastal Blacktail Deer using a 110g jhp with that gun from about 30', one shot to the neck and it was DRT. That poor thing probably didn't weigh 60lb's, those are small deer to beging with and this one was a barely legal fork horn. Tasted like sage.

I have a 619 that is darn near the top of the list of my very favorite revolvers that I have ever owned. I still can't figure out why S&W dropped it and the excellent 620 from their lineup.

I am still a big fan of the M65 and will one day add a 3" and 4" of that model to my collection. The M65 has got to be one of the best, most versatile SS K-Frames S&W ever made (JMHO). In the meantime, my 619 will just have to do.

I've heard that they were extremely accurate guns, but they just didn't sell well (when they were still being produced) and they apparently were pricey to make. I'd love to shoot one!

Nice photo, BTW.

Thanks, pretty fond of it myself. And I can verify what you heard; that 619 is the most accurate handgun I have ever owned. There's a 620 owner around here that will get deep into detail about how accurate his is. Too bad S&W quit making them...hope to find a 620 one of these days. I just don't get it, as popular as the excellent 65 and 66 are, the 619 and 620 were the perfect L-frame equivalent.
