In the past I have always used Crucial for my memory upgrades. I am now considering an upgrade for my laptop and looking at Kingston. Which do you prefer and why. Thanks in advance.

I have used both brands and have not had any problems with either one. On that note, for my last computer build, I went with Crucial because I liked the specs for my motherboard, and the memory has performed flawlessly. The memory is supposed to be 1.5 volts and mine is running at 1.52 volts, but I'm not concerned. Oh, I'm running 16 gigs of memory too.

i like crucial. Kingston tends to get hot in my OP. Samsung makes good memory as well! very good memory!. but most of the repairs i do *have run a small laptop repair business as a side gig for 8 years* is Crucial or samsung.
