Got bored - built a trench club
Not something especially practical, but a novelty that sprang from the World War I kick I've been on lately and a small cash surplus. Seeing as I can't afford an original, I figured I'd do the next best thing and construct a cheap knockoff.
Failing a sudden recommencement of hostilities with the Germans this little monstrosity won't leave the house - but it does make for an interesting wall-hangar.
Also, zombies. I imagine it would be good for zombies.

That would have really been good in the unionizing days.
Good job.

And I thought that I was the only one making war clubs wheb bored. Yours is nicer though. I simply hacked mine out of firewood and fire blackened the outside. Can you tell us more about how you made it? Ponders.... Could you make me one?

Hmm. Trench zombies. I smell a marketing gimmick ripe for the plucking.
Meantime - anybody who's interested, I'm putting together a materials list and set of instructions on how I built mine. I should have it up in a couple of days.

I don't think it can be called Tactical without a rail and flashlight.
Should be easy to add though....

Love it. Good to check the air in the tires on your 18-wheeler as well?

I gave or traded away the nail bespoked and otherwise cruel looking ones that I made. Most were pressed into service as fishing bats and proved popular items. South Carolina is a rough place to be a fish.

State issue for Missouri school bus drivers
State issue for Missouri school bus drivers. Invado talpa durus is what I think the Greeks called it.
In all honesty, if the time comes I need something like this I'll get out the .45/.223/12ga.

The trench club I remember was made by the British; it was the breech end of a shot-out Vickers Maxim barrel, about 12 inches of it, with the handle being the barrel, wrapped with leather cord for a bettter grip. The business end was the 1 1/2 inch square breech of the barrel, with the two round trunnions. It sure would smart to get whacked with that.

I don't need instructions. Must of made dozens as a kid. I'm sure I tried them out a few times. Maybe that's one of the reason's other kid's parents didn't like me. Maybe that's also while they paid me to keep an eye on their homes when they were on vacation.
