S@W Penetrating Projectile?
Has anyone seen these before? Came across these the other day, thought they were kind of cool, for all that I know they could be common.
Rubber Ball Grenade-Riot Agent. For hand or shotgun launching.
37mm Short Range Muzzle Dispersion
37mm Long Range Projectile Irritant Agent
37mm Tru-Flite Penetrating Projectile-White Smoke

While interesting I don't think that I'd be posting about having something like this in my posession. As for why, the BATF has developed such a maze of rules that I rather suspect that many agents would consider those items to be illegal for a civilian to posess.

I agree. I came across them and snapped a picture. I do not own them nor have any care, custody or control over them.

They are all part of the Law Enforcement part of S&W when it was part of Bango Punta. It was sold to DEFTEC. I used these when I was a law enforcement back in the day. Instructions stated do not shot directly at a person as it will enter and exit a body. Sometime the gas would start a fire.

I am reminded of the Janet Reno/Waco fiasco we all watched on TV as the buildings with women & children occupants were burned to the ground, BATF Supervisors being interviewed afterwards by TV talking heads were claiming " All fires were started by the occupants, not by LEOs firing the S&W 37mm projectiles, etc" and TV cameras showed many empty .37mm cases laying on the ground and clearly labeled with warnings that there was a danger of starting fires if they were fired into flammable materials, etc. Ed.

Back in the day, at work, I shot a lot of S&W gas into Dope Houses, when we were doing Narcotics Search Warrants, and on Barricaded Persons incidents.
My favorites were the barricade penetrating round. The top of it looked like a Castle from a Chess game. It not only shot through all manner of glass, it would shoot thropugh the outside wall into the house, if you did not hit a stud, on what we called "clap board houses". It would shoot through interior walls too. It did not start fires.
My second favorite was called the Flight Rite, or Right, cannot remember.
When it came out the barrel of the gas gun it would deploy fins and looked like a rocket ship. It too would go through walls, doors and glass as well.
It did start fires, a lot of them...
The rubber ball grenades, later called Sting Ball Grenades worked great for dispursing a roudy crowd, say after a rock and roll concert.

37mm is the thumper for your AR in Tennessee. It looks like a 204 but shoots non military rounds, so its not classified as a weapon of mass casualty. Just don't drop tear gas up wind and gas the line, this seems to upset RSO's and myself.
