Need some help here a guy has a pre-lock
610 with a 5 inch barrel and over 100 moon clips. What would a fair price be? Thanks.

Due to it's ability to shoot either 10mm or 40 caliber the 610 is a bit of a cult classic. As a result the prices generated on Gunbroker for the 610 are probably going to be higher than what you would consider "fair". IMO for a 5 inch pre-lock 610 in excellent condition with 100 moon clips should be worth between 1000 and 1200 dollars on the retail market. Yeah, I did say 1000 to 1200 US dollars. I have a 6 1/2 inch 610 and won't ever part with it. I also regret not purchasing at least 2 or 3 of the 4 inch version when they were most recently available, I could have used the profit to offset a 4 inch keeper for myself.

I've been casually looking for a 610 for about a year, since I'm a a big fan of my 625's and 22-4's. I really like the moon clip loading, and N-frames in general are just SO COOL.....

The 610 prices seem really nuts to me, though. Virtually the same revolver in .45ACP (mod 625), same six-shot, same N-frame, same moon-clip loading, sells for several hundreds less. I've bought lightly used 625's for $625 - $725 from private sellers here in central NC.

Well, I shouldn't really complain, I don't mind so much when the guns I already own appreciate in value! I just wish S&W would start building the 610's again. The .40 S&W is such a popular round, I can't believe they don't have the 610 in production.

Ditto on that! I can't believe that used ones are in $1000 range. It wasn't that long ago that they made a run. Hopefully, they will make another run in the future.

I sold a NIB 610 with a 6 1/2" barrel in Dec for $1495 on GB. I had no choice-needed the money. Betcha they will build more. Too many of us like the 10MM.

Not sure but guess that 5" would command a bit of a premium. Nothing wrong with the 610 6.5" Classic Hunter on hand here but 5" N-frame are just about the perfect balance, to me at least.

The $1-1.2K range would probably be where I'd personally find it impossible to justify.
