Default need help with dating a 10-5

A friend got it from his dad and the serial is D311XXX. Any help would be very appreciated.

That serial no. should date to around 1969-70.......

I know its hard to put a price on it with out seeing it but whats the going rate for them? Its blued 4inch looks almost brand new really deep blueing wooden grips.

If it has box and paperwork, maybe $450. Without a box or docs, $375-$400.

ok lemme rephrase that i have a model 10-5 i got from my grandfather and id like to know the date of manufacter. sn d250***

Probably close to surfacing's date, 1970, or thereabouts.
