I am quite enamored withe the 32 calibers, especially the 32 S&W long.

I generally prefer guns with adjustable sights, but every once in a while, I run across something at a price that I just have-to put in the collection.

Such was the case with this gun. I originally found it sitting in a pawn shop about a year and a half ago, and I couldn't justify the price they were asking for it. It's not in perfect condition, and I didn't really have a lot of money at the time, so it was a non-starter.

A few months ago, I was in the shop again, and asked to see the revolver in question one more time. The owner told me that I was the only person who had looked at the gun in the last year, and that he'd really like to see me walk away with it. "Name your price." I responded with a number $100 below the sticker, and stipulated that the price needed to be OTD. He thought for a moment, and reached his hand across the counter to shake mine on the deal.

I added the oversize stocks, and I made the holster (it would make a real leather worker laugh, but it does the trick well enough in the woods). The original stocks are in the safe in a baggie with the guns description and serial #.

The gun shoots quite well, and is a joy to carry. I think it was a very worthy investment indeed

Very nice find. The 4" guns seem less common to me. I admit to having a soft spot for the .32s myself. I have it's square butt cousin, the model 31, as well as a couple of pre-model 30s.

Here's it's great-grandpa, a model of 1903 .32 Hand Ejector from 1904 in 4 1/4":

3 1/4" pre-model 30 from 1952:

The model 30 is something kind of special, at least to me. Nice find.
