Definitely raises the average selling price for this gun.

I saw that too. I guess my shooter grade pre-27 with half the finish gone just increased in value.

Gawd I hope not. But this revolver does set a new, to me, standard of appearance and province. I'm as cheap as they come, but if I had seen that auction I would have been a serious bidder for that one.

If you've got luck like mine, about the time you decide to sell, the market'll go flat!

That's why Sheriff, I always say "I hope these buyers are hereabouts when I get around to selling!..."

I had that one on my Saved List.... hadn't seen that it sold. I thought it would go high, box and all, but I thought high would be $1800.
I feel a lot better for the "impulse buy" on that 3 & 1/2 nickel 27-2 I bought for 750.

GF, your high would have bested my high by $50.00. I guess neither of us are the "big spenders" we like to think we were.

WOW
3.5 pre Model 27 with box original grips ,
pamphlet and warranty card that someone wrote the serial number on.
Some small muzzle wear on barrel and underlug, red paint on site blade, slight turn ring, small scratch in right grip panel, original box good cond. with small stain in middle.
Gun $1500, box & docs $300 = $1800 did I miss something?
Maybe I need to buy a box before they get crazy..uh I mean .....crazyer.

Boy, that's a nice gun , and all the toys with it, but that's a lot of money for it. Have they gone up that much? I don't have the box, tools or papers but over $2000 for just the gun? I can't let my wife see that she might want to sell my Pre 27.

Keeping my fingers crossed that the 5" 27's remain relatively affordable...especially since they are an inch and a half cooler.

That's rediculous even for gunbroker. That was most likely a few uninformed bidders, or bid junkies telling themselves "I'm not losing this over $25.00" all the way up to $2300 and change. I would bet if the seller tried to get his money back out of it on gunbroker next month, he wouldn't.

Just as I suspected, looking at the bidding history, above the $1800 mark there appears to have been a bidding war between Knighten and Diamond. That's the only way these ridiculous prices are achieved.

Except when *I* am selling!
I had wondered if this gun will actually change hands...
Or if it shows up back on there in a little bit.
