Default 29-4 Serial Number

Just Picked Up a 29-4 4" Nickle, I'm having a really hard time making out the serial number, the model number is clear the serial number appears to be stamped at an angle, Is there another way to identify serial numbers?

Remove the grips and the serial on the bottom of the butt should be stamped nice and clear. The one in the yoke can sometimes be difficult to read.
