Default S&W 624 markings

I have noticed some 624 are maked 44 S&W special and some are marked 44 S&W special ctg.What does the CTG mean?

A 3" gun has only enough barrel to roll '.44 S&W Special,' but 4 and 6" models will say '.44 S&W Special Ctg.'
