Default MOE Stock Removal

I just purchased a used 15-22 MOE version. The butt stock is very sticky and difficult to move. How do I remove to see what is causing the problem?

See the squeeze latch to slide the stock on the buffer tube? ... Pull it down instead of squeezing it and it should slide off.

Grab hold of the crosspin from both sides and pull it down further than the adjustment latch can go.
