I am still in the waiting period. Bought the gun in Big 5. They were out of stock that day and told me they would get it from another store. I thought I bought the 811062, but just found out from S&W it will be an 811032. I am not sure if I have to right asking for a switch.

I'm not 100%, but I was looking at the M&P 15-22 at Big 5, and they told me that they only sell the CA compliant version at all stores even outside of CA? I bought one from another store here in AZ, and it has the threaded barrel, compensator and 25 rd clip cheaper than what Big 5 is asking.

I just ordered a 811035 (MOE model in FDE) and it should get shipped to CA today and all my FFL has to do is swap out the mag for a 10 round and it should be GTG. In my case, I had the seller actually block the mag for me - I sent him a tacticool block - so when it comes in it is CA 10rnd compliant. Not every seller will do this, but if your FFL is willing to accept it they could take it with the 25rnd mag if they have a high cap license and block it for you or you have it blocked and sent to CA.

I specifically wanted the MOE, in FDE and with threaded barrel.. so bought that model.

A few extra hoops to jump through, but worth it as the price difference is worth just going right to the MOE.

If it were me, I would want the 811062 to get the threaded barrel.

Yes. Only thing that is at issue for CA is the mag the rest is GTG.

You asked & it seemed sincere so I provided. Either way others might value the actual S&W page detailing that model given they make like 20 different part # M&Ps

I was sincere ... and then realized I needed to check S&W's site, which I did. Jogged the ol' memory. I had forgotten about the question until you replied. I DO appreciate the reply.

Yesterday called Big 5 Corp office, got the green light and cancelled my current order of 811032 ($499.99). Same day I went to Turner's and bought the 811062 ($420). Can't be happier.
